How do I choose a perfume?
First decide which scent family and notes you like, then choose a size that suits your budget and how often you'll wear it. If you can, try the scent on your skin; on the site you can compare up to three products side by side by notes, size and price per 100 ml.
Start with the scent family
Knowing whether you lean towards floral, woody, fresh or oriental scents narrows the options quickly. Looking up the family of a scent you already like is a good starting point.
- Floral Scents (66)
Soft, elegant scents led by floral accords such as rose, jasmine and iris.
- Woody Scents (30)
Warm, dry tones such as cedar, sandalwood and vetiver.
- Fresh Scents (52)
A light, clean and lively feel with citrus, marine and green accords.
- Oriental Scents (78)
Rich, warm and full scents with vanilla, amber, spices and resins.
Look at the notes
Top notes give the first impression; heart and base notes carry the real character of the scent. When you type a note you like (e.g. vanilla) into the search box, products containing that note are listed too.
Try it on your skin if you can
General information
A scent can come across differently on paper, in the air and on skin, and the same perfume can leave a different impression on different people. Trying it on your skin and waiting a while gives a better idea than the first few minutes.
Decide on size and budget
Perfumes in this catalogue come in 30 ml, 50 ml, 75 ml, 80 ml, 90 ml and 100 ml; prices range from ₺500 to ₺2,990. To compare sizes fairly, look at the price per 100 ml on the comparison page. A smaller size can make more sense for a scent you are trying for the first time, a larger one for a scent you wear often.
What do the series tell you?
Sansiro perfumes come in series such as Classic, Premium and Niche Atelier; they differ in number of products, sizes and price range (details on the series pages). A series name on its own is not a claim about longevity or quality.
If you can't decide
“Find your scent” narrows the options with questions about scent family, notes you love and avoid, gender and budget, and says why each suggestion was made. If you know a scent's code, type it into the search box to go straight to it.
